This course explores and analyzes Mary Shelley's Frankenstein(1818). Students are encouraged to discover paradoxes and complexities of this novel by careful reading of the text. We will also deal with biographical, cultural and social topics which are designed to reveal the layers of themes hidden in this classic work.
